Eventhough there are many browsers out there, only a few browsers truly keep users in front of everything.
Keep aside the competition, the popularity, the hype, only a few really outperform and excel itself in every new release.
And of all browsers, Opera is the true champion in innovation and web standards. It has some excellent features and it seems these features are a real boon to bloggers. Let’s look at some of them.
As covered in my previous post, being focussed in work is very essential for a blogger and opera works hard to help us in doing just that.
DASHBOARD
The blank page or a home page would be the landing page of a browser, once we decide to venture in the wild wild web.
A clean, organized, landing page would greatly help us to be focussed and here comes the dashboard for bloggers – The speed dial feature of opera.
The essential sites, you shouldn’t miss visiting everyday could be placed as speed dials. Some important pages for a blogger could be Google analytics, Email, Twitter, Google Reader etc.,
NOTES
No need of any third party notes app to jot down ideas and tips while browsing. Opera has an inbuilt notes feature and you could set custom shortcuts to access your favourite Opera features.
These notes just like any other notes get auto saved and hence becomes very handy while browsing to put your thoughts somewhere.
MOBILE BLOGGING
What if you feel like blogging while on the move?...Oh no!!, the bookmarks are in your desktop and not in your laptop? No problem, the synchronize feature of Opera lets you access all your bookmarks, Notes, personal bar contents, Speed Dials and History from anywhere.
You just need to sign up for this free service.
ONE JOB AT A TIME
Bloggers hate multitasking like chatting while blogging, reading while twiting etc., Sessions feature of Opera is very useful for focusing on one job at a time.
While maintaining your blog, you could open up all relevant sites in each tab and save all the tabs under one session called “maintenance”.
Say While chatting, you could open up facebook, twitter, linked in etc., each in one tab and save the entire tab collections as Social Networking.
This way, you get to finish what you start and not get distracted while being in the middle of something.
GREAT WORKFLOW
By mistake you closed a tab? No problem you could retrieve it from the trashcan from the toolbar and it is just one click away. I love this feature as I used to do many a times.
Efficient Mouse Gestures feature to go back a page and move forward and for many more common actions.
Fastforward and Rewind buttons are a great feature eventhough they are old ones. Jump 10 pages behind your navigation in one click. It’s that easy.
Mouse gestures and FF and Rewind features really quicken your working speed and lessen your time being online.
CUSTOM SEARCH
Most browsers have this feature but making them work for every search bar is somewhat tedious but not so in Opera. It does what it says and it is easy to implement.
Any search bar in any website could be added as custom search in Opera. You could even assign shortcuts for search.
I loved this feature for searching twitter.
Now a days, there aren’t even websites which look odd in Opera. Most seems to work fine. Opera has a strong community and it helps you come out of any mishaps you face and all your questions get answered quickly. If you notice any odd problems, you could report it immediately.
I love Opera for its sheer commitment and great work. Firefox is the closest to Opera’s greatness is what I very humbly feel. Chrome and IE has a long way to go.
Which of the great browsers you feel really is blogger friendly. Do you feel something I missed to mention for or against Opera. Share your thoughts.

Nice review on Opera browser but I never use it before. I guess I will give it a try later. Currently, I'm using Firefox browser to browse website and I'm satisfy of it's reliability and performance.
